Final Film Opening

  1. I like the bold titles at the beguinning (eyespy with my little eye - something beguinning with YOU) creates extreme suspence for myself (the viewer) and i like the variety of font sizes to make some stand out more than others
I also like the shaking effects of the scenes which make it look more strange and distorted
The sounds of twigs snapping creates more suspence to the film.
I like the close up shot of the phone showing 'no signal' because its as if you know something bad is going to happen.

  2. The simple titles on the black background work, and there is a variety shots used to create tension and the surroundings are used as well which i like, for example the trees. You have framed some shots nicely like when the couple are holding hands facing each other and the boys eyes.

The only point i'd make is that maybe you could edit the lighting to make it more gloomy and horror like.

    well done :)

  3. I really like the beginning of the filming where the titles are revealed, with the last word being alot bolder than the rest. This worked really well and made it seem as if the words where directed straight at the viewer.I also like the music used as it creates a very aery atmosphere as it is very calm but still jumps at certain parts. Throughout the film it is clear that someone is watching the couple walking as well as the girl on her own, as the camera isn't always steady, however this effect works well for this certain film. The blurring of the couple when they stand still works well and adds a nice effect. I like the close up of just the boys eyes as i feel that this is different and gives me ( the viewer) a clear understanding that the girl is being watched/followed. I also like the close up of the phone as i think that this works well and gives the impression that the girl is now alone with her phone having no signal.
The only suggestions i could give is maybe it could have been filmed when it was darker outside to add to the scariness of the music.
Overall i think this is a strong opening sequence and the effects and shot work well like the blurring, close ups etc.

  4. i like the effect the poem at the beginning gives, of like a spooky rhyme, which would give chills to the viewer. I like the effects you've used as the camera goes out of focus etc and when the killer is shown you've only shown his eyes which gives him mystery and then fit in with the title at the end and the bit at the beginning. I can tell that this has been thought through because of the way the camera is being shown from a p.o.v and that when its hiding, the objects hiding him are in the way so you've thought of the frame. the only criticism is that maybe it would have been better in the dark as most people tend to walk dogs and such during the day in the woods so someone might of been there to witness the reason behind the scream other than that it would make a great thriller :)

  5. HEY VICKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So hello. I do really like your sequence its quite creepy. I think the titles are add to this very well because its written well. I like how the music flows along with the video as well. I also like how you have shot the point of view shot from the killers angle from behind a tree.
The criticism I have is that at the beginning of the sequence the female actor is not wearing gloves and at the end she is. This is just a small continuity error :)
    well done!!!

  6. This opening sequence I enjoyed a lot it had such an eerie atmosphere to it and had a great plot line making me want to watch it more.
I really like the music that you have chosen for this opening sequence it is very scary and makes you want to watch more of it.
I also like the lighting used it is quite gloomy because it is so bright. what is also spooky about this is that it is not often to that something like this happens to someone during the day which i think works well because it is different and no-one is around.
The scream and the end is really effective as it is so echoey and she is in the woods which works very well.

this opening sequence is very good if this was a film i would definitely go see it because it captures my attention well done! :)

  7. I like the use of words in the beginning Because its directed right at the audience which creates tension straight away. Also the white on black was a good touch as she kept the text simply so it didnt over Exaggerate the scene.

I Like the thought that as a viewer we are the ones stalking the actor. this helps the audience get involved as well as being introduced to the film. Also i thought the scenery was well thought out because it gives
the lighting and contrast a good look on the actors as well as the scene.
I also thought that vicky used goo close up shots to emapthise the mystery within her film.

One thing i thought vicky could improve upon was some of the timing within the film.

    But Overall Well Done! :)

  9. The titles at the beginning intrigue the audience straight away and its a really clever line. I think the camera angels are good the way it looks like your the person looking at the couple. It wont let me watch the ending but ill re post when ive seen it, looks really good so far though! :)

  10. Very effective opening, you have used a good video effect that i really liked, i also thought that you performed the P.O.V shot really well, however i was slightly confused with the idea was the male actor at the start the same actor as the one who was watching the girl?
I did think this was interesting and would like to see what happens further on in the film, well done
